Endless Walkers are creatures in Roads Less Travelled.

Background[]

The Endless Walk is the punishment in which a ghoul from the Reservation is stripped of every worldly posession (including clothing) and sent marching into the wasteland. No ghoul has ever come back from exile, though a few have found safety in other settlements, such as Otto Steed, who was saved by Governor Dodge at Hoover Dam.

A few of them have also come from Boulder, from the remains of NORAD.

Not all of the Endless Walkers end up as scorpion food, at least not at first. On those rare occasions when one survives more than one year in the wasteland, they turn into wandering, voracious creatures, who instinctively eat and do little else.

Due to their prolongued, open exposure to the desert sun, high radiation and other hardships of the wasteland, these unfortunate ghouls, who were banished from the reservation were cooked alive in the desert.

Their constant exposure to the sun and various sources of radiation has caused their skin to toughen into a natural leather but at the same time, they have lost their minds.

Behavior[]

Endless Walkers who have been in the wastes for so long become creatures driven by instinct and will attack anything that moves in a vain effort to quench an appetite that can never be quenched. Their skin is very tough and they attack with their decrepid hands with surprising speed and accuracy.

They usually travel alone and it is rare that they are come across alone. Most keep their distance from them as some cultures believe them to be cursed. Though encounters with them are rare, few forget the encounter, should they survive.
