Gehennas are monsters found in Burham Springs. They're larger than humans and appear to be made out of twisted skin and muscle mass, infused with the black tar and shiny oils, that one can find in the area. It is said that they slather it on themselves, to hold themselves together.

They are vaguely human shaped but have no discernible features, anyone who has managed to kill one has had little interest in examining it after. However, if one was to do so, they would just see a very mangled human, unless they were of a scientific mind.

They are able to conjure fire, out of the exposed, torn ligaments on their limbs and can heat up their tentacle-like extremities to dish out some serious damage. They expel flames in different directions, making them very dangerous to attack, up close and they also expel toxic gasses, that they excrete and breathe onto their enemies.

When they die, they fall apart, collapsing into a pile of rag, rotten flesh, tar and goo.

They are fairly mindless monstrosities, attacking anything they come across, even each other. Though they are most inclined to attack creatures that move fast. Due to their poor senses, they don't attack slow moving creatures or static objects.

Some believe they have heard them 'talk,' using the human voice box to project sound. Even rarer, some people have suggested that they can form words, although the words are often meaningless and are seemingly picked at random.

They usually use their vocal chords to scream if they use them, a horrible distorted nightmarish shriek that changes in pitch and depth.

They are related to the even more dangerous Molechs.

Trivia[]

  • The New Cananites named them after a valley in Jerusalem, where humans were sacrificed by flame.
