Junior Paladin Brian Philips is the leader of Hawk Squad. Along with his co-part, Paladin Vasquez, he is one of the possible identities of the Prisoner, the protagonist of Fallout: Detroit.

Background[]

Junior Paladin Brian Philips is a member of Hawk Squad, one of the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel's battle-hardened squads often assigned to patrol duty. Paladin Philips is noted for his quick thinking and his devotion to Elder Graham's vision of rebuilding and retaking the Midwest. While on patrol duty, Hawk Squad was attacked by a well-armed group. When the Brotherhood discovered the bodies of Hawk Squad, two were missing: Paladin Philips and Paladin Commander Elaina Vasquez. At the time, hostilities with the Resistance was increasing and they were openly attacking Brotherhood patrols, so it was assumed Hawk Squad was hit by the Resistance.

When the Prisoner returns to Western Wayne Correctional Facility, terminals reveal Paladins Philips and Vasquez were attacked by Hannibal Crane and Cyber Squad, in Crane's quest for more test subjects. After the initial assault, they were able to subdue Philips and Vasquez and brought them back to the prison. If the Prisoner is male, terminals say that testing had driven Paladin Vasquez insane, but Paladin Philips seems like a great candidate for further trials.
